All About Venetian Gondola Rides
Gondola rides take place on the Grand Canal at the Venetian Hotel, Las Vegas. You’ll be surrounded by multiple sceneries depending on if you choose to go for an indoor or outdoor ride.

Indoor canal rides provide views of the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian, while outdoor rides provide views of the hotel’s exterior.

Every ride includes a serenade from the gondolier, making it a romantic trip. There are multiple options for the number of people who can ride at the same time. You can choose to book for two people during date night or four people as a double date or family outing.
The ride will allow you to float beneath bridges and balconies and near the shops, making you feel like you’re genuinely in Italy. Each ride is occupied with a photographer to help capture memories of your date or family ride. You are also welcomed to take your photos during the trip while sitting in the gondola seats.
If you’re looking for an extra memorable encounter, head to the area slightly before 9:50 am and 4:20 pm. During this time, the gondoliers are either beginning or ending their day.
They do a march twice a day and sing together to signal the start of the day.

Venetian Gondola FAQ
Now that you’re ready to head to the Venetian Gondola Ride let’s dive into a few commonly asked questions so you can enjoy a smooth ride and know exactly what to expect.
How long is the ride?
The ride for both outdoor and indoor takes about 15-20 minutes to complete. This is plenty of time to hear a few songs and see the sights around the Venetian.
Get to the dock at least 5-10 minutes before your time slot to avoid missing your ride.
What times are the rides?
The indoor and outdoor gondola ride times are different for the Venetian Gondola. The indoor rides run from 10 am – 11 pm (Monday – Thursdays) and on Sundays. Fridays and Saturdays, closing time extends to midnight.
Outdoor rides run from 11 am to midnight every day. This is assuming the weather is allowing outdoor rides.
Should you do indoor or outdoor?
Both rides offer exquisite views and a pleasant experience. The final choice can be based on a few notes.
Check the weather before booking an outdoor ride. Las Vegas is known for its high temperatures, especially during summer. If the weather is clear, cool, and a nice breeze, it will provide the best outdoor experience.
If it’s quite hot, opt for the indoor ride.
Another note to consider is what sights you want to see. The inside of the Venetian shopping center can be viewed by walking around. Granted, it is a different view on the canal versus on foot. Keep this in mind when making your choice.
The outdoor rides tend to offer more privacy and better photos than the indoor rides. The indoor rides provide the ultimate tourist experience.
If you’re still unsure of which ride to take, there is the option of riding both indoors and outdoors so both views can be experienced. This way, you won’t feel as if you’re missing out on one or the other.
Should you buy advance tickets?
Yes, it is recommended to buy tickets in advance. Some visitors have noted wait times of up to three hours. While this may not be the case during slower times, it can be frustrating to have an unexpected wait time.
If you’re planning on spending the day or at least a few hours in the canal area, you can purchase tickets for a later time. This way, you won’t have to worry about waiting around as you’ll be able to check out the shops and eateries.
Or, head to the Venetian Gondola early to purchase tickets for a later time slot and then go about your day. There is nothing preventing re-entry later on in the day. This way, you can explore the Las Vegas strip or nearby areas while catching a ride on the gondola.
Venetian Gondola Rides are the ultimate way to see the Venetian. Plus, they offer a walking break after checking out the shops or exploring the strip.
First-timers and those who’ve visited Las Vegas previously should head here for a romantic ride along with a singing gondolier.
