There is no better place to see if you have the luck of the Irish on St. Patrick’s Day than Ireland, but Las Vegas is a very close second! Every year Sin City transform into a green beer guzzling, corned beef eating, party where everyone is Irish for a day no questions asked. You can still enjoy all the usual glitz and glam of Las Vegas, but many places have special St. Patty’s specials or entertainment.

St. Patrick’s Day Activities in Las Vegas

St. Patrick’s Day in Vegas is one of the biggest party days of the year on the strip and downtown. You’ll never encounter as many Leprechauns as you will in Las Vegas on St. Patty’s Day. Even the showgirls will be donning green feathers and sequins and some of the most iconic landmarks such as the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign, The High Roller, the marquees as The Venetian and Palazzo, ONE Summerlin and more will turn bright green for the holiday.

Vegas takes the love of all things Irish to a whole other level on this holiday and people come from all over the world to spend the day here. While you are sure to find a fun St. Patty’s Day activity everywhere you look, there are the must-do things you should consider.

Parades and Festivals In Vegas During St. Patrick’s Day

Celtic Feis Celebration

This huge, annual festival hosted by New York New York is the best way to kick off St. Patrick’s Day on the Vegas Strip. There are TWO parades! March 15th Parade starts at two pm and on March 17th, the parade kicks off at 10:30 am in The Park close to the T-Mobile Arena at Bliss Dance and ends on The Brooklyn Bridge at New York New York.

Nine Fine Irishman, the hotel’s authentic Irish Pub, serves bite size portions all day long and the hotel is full of live entertainment and plenty of Irish Whiskey and green beer for everyone in Vegas. Some of the festivities associated with Celtic Feis do require admission and for guests to be over 21.

Official St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The Official Henderson St Patrick’s Day Parade is off strip and is accompanied by three days of Irish shenanigans at Henderson Events Plaza. A car show, carnival, and live entertainment all day are just a few of the activities that happen at this FREE event with no age restrictions. The events begin Friday March 15th at 5pm with the parade kicking off at 10 am Saturday March 16th.

St. Patrick’s Day Firefighter Fun Challenge and Parade

What’s better than a St. Patty’s Parade? One hosted by the Las Vegas Valley Firefighters in Las Vegas! This parade starts on third street downtown and marches down Fremont Street on March 17th starting at Noon. The route ends at Hogs and Heifers where The Challenge Games begins at 1pm. This is a FREE, all ages event.

O’Sheas BLOQ Party at The LINQ Hotel and Casino

This outdoor festival at the LINQ Promenade is done block party style with an all weekend event featuring live Irish music Friday night March 15th at the fountain stage, bagpipers Saturday afternoon, and a throw back to the 90s band, Empire Records Saturday night. You’ll get another parade Sunday morning at noon that begins at LINQ Promenade and ends at O’Sheas Casino.

The parade features Irish drummers, dancers, stilt walkers, and special celebrity guests! The party continues until 10pm on the Promenade and drink specials will be featured at O’Sheas Casino. The High Roller Observation Wheel will also be lit up green from Friday at sunset through Sunday night.

Fremont Street Experience

The Fremont Street Experience feels like a festival every day of the year but on St. Patty’s Day Fremont Street transforms into one of the biggest St. Patrick’s Day party in the world. The party starts early on Thursday March 14th and lasts all weekend long through Sunday, March 17th.

Music and entertainment is live from 11am-3am daily and the experience won’t cost you a dime (although the amazing drink specials will have you pulling out your wallet).

Plaza Hotel

The Plaza Hotel Casino in downtown Las Vegas is the place to be for St. Patrick’s Day. The party starts under the dome at 7pm with live music, a DJ later in the night, and a green firework show at 10 pm.

Sham-Rock The Park

You don’t have to wait until dark to start drinking on St. Patrick’s Day. Container Park is hosting the annual Sham-Rock Beer Fest where admission grants you all you can drink beer and live entertainment from 2-5pm on Sunday.

Bailiwick

The Orleans Hotel Casino hosts a great St. Patrick’s Day party at Bailiwick with live entertainment beginning at 5pm. Drink specials include $5 Guinness and $7 Irish Car Bombs. You can’t get the Irish drinks cheaper anywhere else downtown. If you’re hungry Bailiwick is also serving Shepherd’s Pie and Corned Beef and Cabbage for dinner.

Cabo Wabo Cantina Rockin’ St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

This Mexican cantina gets an Irish twist during St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Located at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, Cabo Wabo Cantina will serve up Irish food, DJ from noon til 3am and drink specials during their rockin’ patio parties along the strip.

Patio Party at Due & Proper at The District

Get off the strip and head over to Green Valley Ranch for a backyard patio party with BBQ, live DJ, and lots of Irish beer and whiskey specials from 4pm-8pm.

Build Your Own Green Bikini Contest at McFadden’s

McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon made a name for itself in New York City before opening at Town Square on Las Vegas Blvd. South. The traditional Irish restaurant will add a ladies’ only build your own green bikini contest along side alcohol and food specials. $500 in cash and prizes will be given away with doors opening at 11am on St. Patrick’s Day.

BEER PARK at Paris

BEER PARK will host a St. Paddy’s Party on the rooftop that begins at 9 in the morning on Sunday with celebrity guest DJs. The restaurant will serve an Irish brunch served egg roll style!

PKWY District and PKWY Flamingo

PKWY Flamingo hosts a two day Irish extravaganza Saturday and Sunday with live music, savory hot dogs, Jameson and Murphey cocktails, and a Leprechaun Ninja Warrior obstacle course. PKWY District will be hosting a huge party for employees and potential employees only with $5 drinks and lots of surprise giveaways.

Where to Eat and Drink in Las Vegas St. Paddy’s Day

You won’t be able to walk into a bar or restaurant on St. Patrick’s Day in Las Vegas that isn’t offering some sort of Irish drink or food special, but for the very best experience, check out some of these can’t miss places to eat or drink on St. Paddy’s Day in Vegas.

Ri Ra’s

Ri Ra Las Vegas at The Shoppes at Mandalay Bay offer an authentic Irish pub experience all of St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Ri Ra will have Irish dancers, bagpipers and other entertainment beginning at 8 am on Friday with exclusive giveaways happening all weekend long. Sunday guests will enjoy a tried and true Irish menu featuring Salmon Boxity, Fish and Chips, Shepherd’s Pie, and Irish beer and whiskey. The Guinness Store is located right next door and will be offering a perfect pour experience and live music as well.

Hennessey’s Tavern

If you’re joining the party downtown on St. Paddy’s Day have dinner at Hennessey’s Tavern inside the World’s Largest Pint Glass. You can’t get any more Irish than that and the pub offers gaming and live music all day long.

Nine Fine Irishmen

This authentic Irish pub at New York New York will be part of the Celtic Feis celebration but offers up great Irish food all year round. The classy, Victorian era bar features a bi level outdoor patio overlooking the Vegas Strip and on St. Patrick’s Day will feature live music from 11am-3am.

Jack’s Irish Pub at Palace Station

Jack’s Irish Pub is also a sports bar that will be blasting the March Madness Basketball games on their big screens all weekend long.

Firelight Buffet at Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall

Firelight Buffet will host an Irish themed breakfast, brunch, and dinner buffet on St Patrick’s Day that includes all their traditional foods plus carving stations for corned beef, and other authentic Irish novelties like Irish Stew, Roasted Leg of Lamb, and Bangers & Mash.

Hard Rock Café

Hard Rock Café offers a limited time only burger made with Guinness bacon and cheese, and Jameson bacon jam. They’re also hosting their SHAMROCKED party and will have drink specials all day long.

McMullan’s Irish Pub

This off strip Irish pub is one of the local’s favorite hot spots for great Irish food on St. Patrick’s Day. McMullan’s is open 24/7 and will features six bands on two different stages for St. Patrick’s Day.
