Zumanity is nearly its ten-year anniversary in Vegas with the cabaret-style Cirque du Soleil show debuting in September of 2003. This is an adult-only show, billing itself as “the sensual side of Cirque du Soleil,” featuring erotic song, dance and acrobatics. It uses the core strengths of Cirque with a physical expression that is bolder and more challenging while taking the audience on a sexy thrill ride of sensational yet naughty performances.
You’ll find an intimate lobby that sets the mood perfectly with what’s to come, with actors greeting guests in scandalous costumes reminiscent of the Greek Sirens, beckoning them in. While Zumanity is all about sex, the audience interaction is risqué but hilarious at the same time.
The show offers a “no holds barred” exploration of human sexuality by blending dance, music and incredible acrobatic performances with few taboos. It’s filled with men and women of all types, ages, sizes and combinations, yet all gloriously beautiful as well as fabulously fit and talented.
While Zumanity is free from a general storyline like other Cirque shows, its individual acts offer separate themes like the nude water acrobatics featuring two young and stunning women exploring each other, while male aerial performers are experiment with bondage themes.
The gorgeous hostess known as the Mistress of Sensuality is highly entertaining as she speaks casually with audience members, bringing a few daring and perhaps lucky attendees up on stage. There is little doubt that this show certainly sets a sensual mood.
