Everyone loves to cool off in top-of-the-line pools in Las Vegas and neither venue at Luxor nor Excalibur disappoints.

Luxor’s pool features four individual pools that span 19,000 square feet. The entire pool deck features 125,000 square feet of space making it one of the largest in Las Vegas. Guests can indulge in poolside beverage service, towels, and rent lounge chairs, rafts, and cabanas.

The Pool at Excalibur features four individual pools amidst 30,000 square feet of tropical oasis with a full-service bar and grill just steps away. Excalibur also features a slide pool; and rafts, cabanas, and day beds are available for rent.

Verdict: The sheer size of Luxor’s pool offers guests more space to relax and enjoy the finer things in life such as cocktails and VIP service. However, Excalibur’s full-service pool-side bar & grill along with the slide make the Excalibur pools great for families.

Nightlife and bars are an experience of their own in Las Vegas and for a lot of people, the hotel with the best nightlife environment will win them over.

At Excalibur, visitors can spend time together in The Lounge, Lobby Bar, Sherwood Bar, or Thunder Bar. The Lounge is an intimate setting with candlelit tables where guests can enjoy live music, a ball game, or sip cocktails with friends.

Aurora Bar also features the Luxor signature cocktail menu bar top gaming and is found near the main lobby. Visitors looking for a high-energy atmosphere at Luxor can enjoy Flight where the bar tenders specialize in modern cocktails, craft beer, and creative bartending flair.

Flight is open 24 hours a day and the perfect place to get the party started.

What sets Luxor apart from Excalibur, however is Temptation Sundays—the best and hottest LGBTQ+ pool party in Las Vegas. Parties are themed, there are new specials weekly, and the best DJs comes to spin the most popular dance tunes. Temptation Sundays is held at the North Pool.

Verdict: Edge goes to Luxor for nightlife, but you would likely venture to MGM Grand or Mandalay Bay for better Vegas nightlife and pool party options like Wet Republic, Hakkasan, Daylight Beach, or Light Nightclub.

Regarding Luxor vs Excalibur Vegas, both hotels are great options and luckily, no matter which one you choose, you can easily enjoy both since they are right next to each other!

Excalibur is a great spot for families with children with the castle theme and Dungeon arcade that can keep younger people busy for hours; although, both hotels are family-friendly.

Luxor excels in entertainment options and accommodations; however, both hotels have luxury lounges for nightlife and pools for catching some sun, or shade under a private cabana!

Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay are all connected via a tram, as well as two walkways—one indoor and one outdoor. However, Excalibur has the better position on the strip because of the outdoor walkway that allows visitors to safely walk above Las Vegas Blvd.

Over to New York New York and the T-Mobile Arena. An additional overhead walkway from Excalibur helps guests to Tropicana.
