The Las Vegas Fireworks Show on New Year’s Eve is one of the most spectacular public events of the year and can be viewed from anywhere on the Strip. Several locations will launch rooftop fireworks, so the show is not isolated to just one spot. MGM Grand, The Strat, Planet Hollywood, Caesars Palace, and Aria, Treasure Island, and The Venetian, all participate.
Some of the best places to watch the fireworks include:
- The Strat
- Marquee Nightclub
- Skyfall Lounge at Delano
- The Eiffel Tower at Paris
- Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay
- Any of the strip’s Pedestrian bridges
If you are staying in a hotel for the weekend, make sure to ask for a room overlooking the strip in case you must watch the fireworks from your hotel room windows.
The High Roller
Ride this 550-foot-tall observation wheel at midnight to get one of the best views of the fireworks available. This $150 ticket per person attraction includes a Champagne toast. When you add in the aerial views of the strip, it’s a unique way to bring in the New Year.
Omnia’s Rooftop At Caesars Palace
EDM fans will love this electric venue. With a great view of the Eiffel Tower across the street, club-goers can get the best of both worlds. Dance the night away inside or travel up to the nightclub’s rooftop when the fireworks start.
Drai’s Beachclub Nightclub’s Rooftop At The Cromwell
For the avid hip-hop fan, this is the spot for you. The rooftop views combined with plenty of people-watching will make for a very entertaining night.
Outside Of Caesars Palace
If you are ready to be part of the New Year’s Eve crowd, grab one of the $99 or $149 beverage packages and join in the ground level party. Rest assured, you’re still going to get great fireworks shows from the street. Caesars Palace is one of the few strip venues that actually shoot their fireworks right above their property.
Pedestrian Bridges
Maybe you don’t want to be on the ground, but maybe you don’t want to be several stories up? The pedestrian bridges keep you safe from traffic and crowds and are high enough for amazing views and photo opportunities. Plus, there is no cover charge!

Tips for Visiting Las Vegas During New Year’s Eve
The best tip you can follow for New Years in Las Vegas is to get down to the strip early on New Year’s Eve if you are not already staying at a Las Vegas Boulevard property. The street is shut down starting at 6pm as more than 300,000 people ascend upon the strip to ring in the New Year the best way—Partying, drinking, and dancing, and does not open back up until the next morning.
Although it is warmer in Las Vegas than other places you could be spending the last night of December, you will want to dress in layers when you can. The nights can be chilly, so bring a jacket and use the coat checks at the clubs and venues. Using the monorail to traverse the strip will also help keep you warm after dark!
Before you leave the hotel room for the evening, make sure your ID and room key are on you. Many of the hotels will limit access to the property after 11pm to guests only, and you will be expected to prove your guest status.
Overall Thoughts
Whether you’re in the mood to join “America’s Party” at Freemont Street Experience, have the perfect date night, or spend the day with your entire family, Las Vegas has all the magical options to make it happen.
As always, drink and party responsibly and we will see you next year!
