Off Strip
The Rio offers a good value off the Strip, with renovated rooms in the Ipanema Tower that are closer to the table games. If you want to take a nap in the afternoon ask for a room that is not overlooking the pool as the music begins playing at noon and can be very loud.
Voodoo Lounge
The VooDoo Lounge offers not only an incredible view but great drinks and is even a good place to spot a celebrity. Arrive just before sunset for an even more breathtaking, picture-perfect view. If you just want to check out the scene, be sure to go between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to avoid having to shell out your hard earned cash.
Sao Paulo Café
Head to the Sao Paulo Café for breakfast, and hit the Carnival World Buffet for lots of food choices, a kid-friendly menu and incredibly fabulous deserts. The seafood buffet is famous for its Alaskan King Crab legs, with great scampi available too; beware the line can be long and you don’t want to drink too much while you’re waiting or you’ll risk spoiling the experience.
