Hilton
Formerly the Planet Hollywood Westgate, the Elara is now a Hilton property. If you’re looking for a spectacular view, ask for a higher floor – the rooms facing the north strip are the best. The northside also lets less sun in the morning, perfect for night owls. Slipping the front desk clerk a twenty or using your Hilton Honors card can get you a sweet upgrade.
Phone Connection
Guests who have Verizon and want to be able to use their cell phones should reserve an even numbered room. The odd numbered rooms are in a dead zone.
D’Aromi Café
Instead of Starbucks, try the D’Aromi Café – breakfast and coffee are much better, and closer. The pool area is a great place to relax, even on the weekends there are no crowds and its one of the nicer pools in the city. You’ll find shade here as well, for those who need a break from the hot desert sun.
