Twilight Zone by Monster Mini Golf
Greetings Earthlings and mini-golf loving kids!
Tucked away, down the stairs, past the Real Bodies exhibit at Horseshoe Las Vegas, lies a world where dark doorways, black lights, and vibrant colors meet an 18-hole mini golf course, perfect for family fun.
Surrounded by out-of-this-world props and remarkable artwork, the Twilight Zone by Monster Mini Golf attraction is a more than just mini golf.
There is a live, on-course D.J. playing music from the 50’s right through to the fifth dimension, as well as trivia contests, arcade games, a bowling alley, a room for special events, an alternate dimension gift shop and, in true Vegas style, the only Syfy wedding chapel on Earth.

Pinball Hall of Fame in Vegas
Pinball Hall of Fame
Tweens and teens seem to find the flashing lights and buzzers of the Pinball Hall of Fame, a favorite stop.
This 10,000-square-foot attraction is the brainchild of Tim Arnold, a pinball machine enthusiast who gladly shares his passion for pinball, for a small price – just 25 to 50 cents a game.
Located at 1610 E. Tropicana, it is close to the Strip, and is the world’s most extensive collection of lovingly-restored pinball machines open to the public and features games from the 1950s all the way through the 1990s. Old arcade games are also up for play and all profits from the business go to charity.
The retro, thrift-store feel of this attraction adds to its authenticity and is true to Mr. Arnold’s mission to focus on nothing but good, clean pinball fun.

Mac King Comedy Magic Show Vegas – Photo via: vegas dot com
Mac King Comedy Magic Show
The Mac King Comedy Magic Show is not only one of the most entertaining shows you’ll see in Vegas, but it is also one of the few clean shows around, making it one of the best Vegas attractions for the whole family.
The quirky combination of humor, visual gags, and phenomenal sleights of hand has Magic Magazine hailing Mac King as the premiere comedy magician on Earth and the L.A. Times calling his show the “best deal on the Strip.” Not only are his shows are affordable, Mac himself is available for meet and greets right after his performance.

Excalibur Hotel & Casino, Vegas
Excalibur Hotel & Casino – the Ultimate 4-D Experience
The Ultimate 4-D Experience, located in the Excalibur’s Fun Dungeon, is the greatest Vegas attraction for kids!
With moving seats and special effects, this multi-sensory experience will have your kids hanging on as they’re placed right in the center of the action. Thrilling effects like rain, temperature changes, smoke, bubbles, and a variety of changing scents will have your kids hanging shrieking and laughing. Chair effects include water sprays, back ticklers, and air jets.

Hershey’s Chocolate World Vegas
Hershey’s Chocolate World
You’d be hard-pressed to find a kid who doesn’t like chocolate. And what better way to celebrate that love of chocolate than a visit to the Hershey’s Chocolate World.
The most unique part of this experience? A chance to make your own chocolate bar. There’s a delicious chocolate tasting with two Hershey experts and interaction with Hershey’s characters to solve chocolatey mysteries! Hershey’s Chocolate World is located just inside the New York-New York Hotel and Casino.

Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay Vegas
Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay
Holding a whopping 1,300,000 gallons of water, the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay is home to more than 2,000 animals including sharks, endangered green sea turtles, and a Komodo dragon. The facility is 95,000 square feet and features numerous displays in addition to the aquarium.
Feeding stingrays and turtles, and swimming with sharks, is definitely a memorable experience and part of the exhibit’s Animal Encounters program, which combines education and fun. But watch your fingers, piranhas might swim in these waters, too.

Vodoo Zipline Las Vegas
Rio Zip Line
The Rio Zipline is an exhilarating Vegas attraction for kids that will send them soaring high at electrifying speeds. Not to mention, the 360-degree views of the Las Vegas Strip and the sprawling city are phenomenal!
The one-minute and 10-second motorized ride takes off from VooDoo Lounge, on top of the Rio, 500 feet above the ground. Riders are zipped 800 feet to the adjacent Ipanema tower and back again.
With seats for two, the zipline reaches speeds of up to 33 miles per hour, with the whole ride being nearly one-third of a mile.
WHY IT IS GREAT FOR KIDS: Although this is a concise adventure for kids, it is worth every second. They will love the exhilaration of the motorized zip line, and they get to see the city from a completely different perspective!

Madame Tussauds Vegas
Madame Tussauds
If you’re pretty certain your kids will never get the chance to hop up on stage with Beyonce, why not take them to do the next best thing? Perform alongside a wax version of Queen Bey herself!
Madame Tussauds is one of the most beautiful Vegas exhibits for kids, giving because them an up close and personal experience with movie stars, musicians, sports stars, and superheroes. With the traditional velvet ropes gone, visitors can inspect and investigate more than 100 wax models.
But I wouldn’t recommend climbing on the wrecking ball with Miley.
WHY IT IS GREAT FOR KIDS: Kids will love being in close proximity to the “people” they only see in movies, on the red carpet or television. And with plenty to see, Madam Tussauds is sure to fill an afternoon.

Adventuredome in Cicus Circus Las Vegas has some great thrill rides.
The Adventuredome
If the screams don’t tip you off, the roar of the roller coaster overhead will let you know you’ve entered the biggest amusement park in Las Vegas.
From cork-screwed coasters to hidden pirate coves, the Adventuredome is a great place to drop off your teens for an all-day adventure. Located in Circus Circus, the experience includes more than coasters and coves. Get your face painted at one of the many kiosks, shoot hoops for stuffed animals, flip upside down on the El Loco or enjoy one of the free acrobatic shows at the Midway Carnival (located further into the casino). The Adventuredome is a local favorite with reasonable prices.
WHY IT IS GREAT FOR KIDS: This is truly and all-day activity and with so much to do, there’s very little chance your kids will want to leave quickly (there are drinks for adults as well).

Thrill rides at the Strat.
Thrill Rides at The Strat
Look, it may not be your cup of tea to hang from a claw nearly 1,200 feet in the air.
But, if you have any daredevils in the family, the thrill rides at The Strat are guaranteed to scare even the most confident adventurer. And while the views from these rides are some of the most beautiful in the city, the do come along with a rush of adrenaline. However, there is an observation deck for those unwilling to brave their fear of heights
Children’s Discovery Museum
Maybe science and technology are more your child’s speed.
The Children’s Discovery Museum has STEM activities for all ages. Kids can investigate and reason the power of water flowing through different courses. Young visitors can stroll through the desert landscape of Toddler Town. Older kids can ascend the museum’s 12-foot, three-story tower featuring climbing structures and interactive experiments.
This is definitely the place where science meets fun.
WHY IT IS GREAT FOR KIDS: Children of all ages will be engaged with more than 10 exhibits catered to meet the educational levels of different learners.

Springs Preserve
Exploring the nature and history of Las Vegas may sound a bit dry, but consider The Springs Preserve as your oasis in the desert.
The flash flood exhibit in the Origen Museum is one of the Springs’ most popular attractions, where you can feel the rush of 5,000 gallons of recycled water as the awesome power of a desert flash flood is recreated.
Say hi to desert cottontails and snakes and scorpions in the animal habitat, and play on the preserve’s splash pad to beat the summer heat.
WHY IT IS GREAT FOR KIDS: It’s a natural fit for animal and earth science lovers. Educational enough to walk out with new knowledge and fun enough to remember the experience.
Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix Family Fun Center
Ready, set, go! If competition is more your family’s style, get ready to vie for bragging rights at the Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix Family Fun Center.
Kart racing? You bet!
Coasters and giant slides? Absolutely!
Games and an arcade? No doubt! Pizza, chicken wings, ice cream and fries? Of course! Just 15 minutes away from the Strip, this family fun center offers both indoor and outdoor activities to visitors and is also a local favorite.
WHY IT IS GREAT FOR KIDS: The center is small enough for parents to keep track of the little ones, but large enough that your teens and tweens still feel some independence.
In a nutshell…
Don’t let the reputation of “Sin City” scare you away from a family trip.
With myriad activities for kids of all ages, Vegas is indeed family-friendly.
Just don’t be surprised if you have as much fun, if not more, than your kids. As you can see, Las Vegas is a place you can go on vacation as a family despite the city being geared toward adults.
